Electrodes Brass strips are used to make High Frequency welding dies for a wide variety of applications but mainly for the making of welding forms in the stationery industries. In the early days high frequency welding processes, the tools were made from solid Brass engraved on Pantographs. This was a laborious and expensive process and some industrious company had the idea to use Brass strips from the printing processes. It is due to this heritage, from the printing industries, that the heights for this strips is 23.56mm. As the welding and cutting, of the PVC film, became a requirement knifes where added to the Brass strips and categorised by height above the welding section. Today the various knife heights are marked by lines on the side body of the strips.
